Book review: The Highlander's Folly

[read as electronic galley on NetGalley. Review originally published at Goodreads]

The first time someone recommended "Outlander" to me, I said "Time-travel historical fiction? Are you kidding?" And now I love it.

"The Highlander's Folly" is a happy addition to the body of work in the genre. Originally selected from NetGalley because my traveling reading tends toward stories I can get lost in, this book offers a plucky, capable heroine from present day, a cast of believably Scots clan members, and knotty clan intrigues. I had no idea this was third in a series, but I was not at all lost for not reading the first two books.

Of course, now I need to go back and read the first two books!
