Thoughts on the Bookish training.

The last assignment for this self-paced readers' advisory training asked me to summarize my thoughts on the course, and what I've learned that has been helpful.

I have gotten a lot more comfortable with the idea of providing readers' advisory service - comfortable with the language of book recommendations, comfortable working with tools like Novelist and Stop, You're Killing Me! (I want there to be a SYKM for every genre. Every. It's just so darn helpful!). I've really developed a love of narrative nonfiction. My goodreads account has morphed into a grand disaster of having so many books to read and never enough time for all of them.

I still haven't found my love of mystery, westerns, or urban fiction. But there's always something to work on, right?
